Jaxtr Works

I recently came across Jaxtr just by accident. I was so intrigued about their services that I decided to try it out.

Basically, Jaxtr lets you call your friends via your mobile or landline anywhere around the world for FREE. You just have to register on their website, verify your email address and phone number/s and you're good to go.

I tried using Jaxtr for the first time yesterday and I was surprised it was for real. It's amazing how everything worked out perfectly. It was easy and very convenient.

The other day, I asked my cousin in the Philippines to register, so he did. Then the following day, I visited his page, clicked the CALL ME button and dialed away. The voice on the other end of the line said, "Please hold, Jaxtr is connecting your call." I waited for a few seconds, and then, I heard the phone ringing. After a few more rings, my cousin answered. And voila! I was calling Manila for free. How great is that?

Curious? Let me give you a step-by-step guide.

First, of course, you have to sign up. After creating an account, check your e-mail to confirm your address. It's just the usual click-this-link-to-verify-your-email kind of thing. After that, on your Jaxtr home menu, add your number (mobile or landline) for verification by clicking the ADD/REMOVE PHONE option in the drop-down menu box on your CONTROL YOUR CALLS sub-menu.

After which, another page will load. Just fill in the necessary details, then click the CALL ME TO VERIFY button.

You will then receive a call from Jaxtr instructing you to verify your phone by entering the confirmation code given to you. Check image below.

Once confirmed, you are all set. You can now start calling and texting your friends.


HOW TO MAKE A CALL

To make a call, first, you have to go to your friends page. There, you will see a mini profile, just like the one below. Then, click the CALL ME button.


After doing so, there will be a pop-up window asking for your number. Choose your country and enter your number on the space provided, then click GET NUMBER.


Calling, sending text messages and voicemails for free is great, but it's even better when you have the option of hiding your number from the person you are calling with Jaxtr's anonymous calling. So, if you find any interesting people on Jaxtr, you can give them a call without sharing your number. Just tick the box where is says "Hide number from [name]" before hitting the get number button. Another thing, with Jaxtr's PrivacyShield, you can accept calls only from the people you want to talk to. Isn't that incredible?

So, after encoding your number, Jaxtr will assign a new number for that person for you to call. The number you will be calling is a local number and Jaxtr will connect you to whoever you are calling. Just dial and wait to be connected. Once you retrieve the number, you can store it in your mobile phone so you can call them anywhere, anytime. The numbers that they will assign to each person will not change.


That's it. It's that simple.

Jaxtr not only connects you to your loved ones abroad, it can also serve as an opportunity for you to make friends around the globe or even in your own country if you like. At the same time, they offer links and widgets that you can embed on your websites, blogs, social networking pages or even in your email signature so your friends can just click and call.
