Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't. Believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, then let it. Nobody said it'd be easy, they just promised it'd be worth it.

My Dream and its Meaning

I just had the weirdest dream. Well, not really weird-weird, but a very-detailed-dream-that-can-be-mistaken-as-real kind of weird. My gawd, it really felt real. I haven't had this kind of dream in a long time. I remember all the faces and the events, every single detail. It's peculiar but amazing at the same time.

The dream started in a chaos. People were running in the streets, trying to get away from something. I was with the crowd, going in the same direction, but I was not panicking unlike the others. Then, all of a sudden, when we were going up on a hill, a motorcycle flew by from the opposite direction. The vehicle crashed a few feet from me and a chubby little girl fell off the motorcycle. Yes, she was driving it. She was even wearing a head gear. After I saw her tumble down, that was the only time I realized that she was riding a small motorcycle, just right for her size. It was not a toy car, but a real motorcycle that has been customized for a more sporty look. She was about 2-3 years old, and she was very adorable.

After the accident, I decided to take her and bring her some place safe. We ran off back to where the dream started and hid in a room in one of the buildings. That time, I decided to adopt her, just like that.

When the commotion was over, we went out of the room and went inside a sort of like portable jeepney, minus the wheels and the driver's seat, just across the street. It's hard to explain but it seemed like a box, where people can hang out inside, it has windows too, same with the jeepneys.

After a few minutes, I saw this guy on the street. It was really weird because he is a Korean actor, for real. According to my research he is Yoon Soo-Hyuk. He played Martin in "Lovers in Paris", the nephew of the leading guy. Moving on, he was actually looking for me, and I think we were a couple in my dream. So, there, he went inside the "box" and I told him about the kid I found. At that time, the kid was already calling me mommy. Then after a few more minutes, this lady approached us looking for her daughter. She had with her another baby, a newborn. She was telling my kid that the baby is her sister. She tried to convince her daughter to go home with her, but the kid didn't want to. I told the mother I wanted to adopt her child, then she left. We sort of had an understanding already.

The next scene was in my "boyfriend's" kick-ass mansion. We weren't living together but my "daughter" and I stayed the night. According to my dream, I love this guy so much, but he's quite unsure of his feelings for me. The next day, I went to work and brought my daughter with me. I was a kindergarten teacher. Can you imagine that? Goodness. Then, when we got back to the mansion, my ever dearest boyfriend gave me the adoption papers with him as the father. I was actually surprised, coz I never asked him to be the father, but he wanted to.

Things were getting better in the house. My daughter and her new "dad" were getting along well, and they even prepared lunch for me, the two of them cooking in the kitchen together. But our relationship as a couple was still uncertain.

One day, I dropped off my daughter in a day care center and headed to my partner's office. I was surprised to see that he was a big shot businessman and owns a company. I dropped off just to have lunch with him. It seemed like I was a real good cook in that dream. On the other hand, the employees of the company were amazed because of the sudden change in mood of their boss. Lately, he seemed to be in a good mood and was smiling constantly. The weird thing is, I was learned about all of this while passing through the corridors of the building. It was like, I was reading their thoughts or something. I was happy then, thinking that it was because of me that he's in a great mood all the time.

When I got home to his house, he surprised me with a candlelight dinner. I thought he was going to propose, but he didn't. In the dream, I really wanted him to. We spent the night together, but nothing special, if you know what I mean. Then the following day, I went back to my place with my daughter.

One particular incident happened after that. My ex-boyfriend in the dream showed up, not the real one, or is it? I'm really confused about this one. Anyway, there was like an issue going on between the current and the ex. My ex was saying something like, "I know you don't love her, but she definitely loves you. She's the kind of person that doesn't stick with someone she does not care. If I were you, I'd just leave her. You can now give her back to me."

At that time, I decided to get away for awhile and reflect on myself and my relationship with my partner. I stayed in Laguna for a week with my lovely daughter.

My boyfriend decided to visit me at my house, but he found out I left for the province thru my neighbor. When we got back from Laguna, it was as if we rode a plane coz we ended up in an airport. I was surprised to see Yoon Soo-Hyuk there, waiting for us.

After not seeing each other for a week, my boyfriend made a lot of realizations. He then proposed to me, which of course I accepted. And we lived like one big happy family.

I was wrong. This dream is definitely weird. The setting was like in different parts of the world. The mansion seemed like it was somewhere here in the United States. The company was like in New York or something, then Laguna seemed like just a few hours away. Strange.

I think, somehow, I was able to manipulate my dream. Coz I remember there were instances when I woke up, thinking about the dream, trying to imagine what would happen next then falling asleep again and the dream continues from my imagination. It happened about 3 times. Really weird. I got up late today coz I was trying to go back to sleep to continue the dream, but I was already wide awake.

I researched about this bizarre dream of mine, and here's what I got.

  • Running: To dream that you are running with others, signifies festive and prosperous times.
  • Children: To save a child, signifies your attempts to save a part of yourself from being destroyed.
  • Motorcycle: To see or ride a motorcycle in your dream, symbolizes your desire for freedom and need for adventure. You may be trying to escape from some situation or some other responsibility in your waking life. A motorcycle is also symbolic of raw sexuality.
  • Adopted: To dream that you or others are adopting a child, indicates that you are taking on something new and different. Ask yourself what is missing in your life that would make you happy.
  • Actor/Actress: [1] To see an actor or actress in your dream, represents your pursuit for pleasure. Your admiration of a particular celebrity may lead to a desire to have some of their physical or personality traits. [2] To see a particular actor or actress in your dream, look at the role they are playing. Even though you may not know them on a personal level, how you perceive them or the characters they play can provide understanding in how it relates to you.
  • Baby/Infants: [1] To see a baby in your dream, signifies innocence, warmth and new beginnings. A love affair may be blooming for you in your near future. You will also make new and fun friends. Babies may symbolize something in your own inner nature which is pure, vulnerable, and/or uncorrupted. [2] To see a newborn infant, symbolizes pleasant surprises.
  • Kitchen: To see a kitchen in your dream, signifies your need for warmth and spiritual nourishment. It may also be symbolic of the nurturing mother. Alternatively the kitchen, represents a transformation.
  • Love: To dream of love of being in love, suggests intense feelings carried over from a waking relationship. It implies happiness and contentment with what you have and where you are in life. On the other hand, you may not be getting enough love in your daily life. We naturally long for the sense to belong and to be accepted.
  • Mansion: To see a mansion in your dream, suggests that you need growth. You may feel that your current situation or relationship is in a rut.
  • Ex: To dream about your ex-boyfriend/girlfriend or ex-husband/wife or that you and your ex got back together again, suggests that something or someone in your current life that is bringing out similar feelings you felt during the relationship with your ex. The dream may be a way of alerting you to the same or similar behavior in a current relationship. What you learn from that previous relationship may need to be applied to the present one so that you do no repeat the same mistake. Alternatively, past lovers often highlight the positive experiences you had with that person.
  • Proposal: To dream that you are being proposed to, indicates that you are merging a previously unknown aspect of yourself More directly, the dream suggests you are thinking about marriage or some serious long-term commitment/project/situation. Your reaction to the proposal indicates your true feelings about marriage or commitment.
Surprisingly true. Well, most of it. It's very interesting. Looks like this dream is everything I'm feeling consciously and subconsciously.
