Since I got back from Scarsdale, I’ve been sleeping normally. Yes, no more afternoon wake up calls. I feel so much better.
This morning I woke up with nothing to do. So, after I was done with my morning routine, I checked my mail and my other online accounts, and headed downstairs to eat (my bedroom is downstairs but I’m currently bunking with my sister).
My dad arrived from work around lunch time. He did some grocery shopping, so I unloaded the car. I opened the pantry to put in the goods, and this huge plastic bag containing other grocery bags hanging from the wall was blocking more than half of the pantry and it was annoying. I decided to relocate the said plastic bag and I ended up organizing the pantry from top to bottom, which was already cluttered. I removed a lot of stuff in the pantry and placed in on the kitchen counters, so I can fix it afterwards. But when my mom saw the stuff, she then decided to organize the cupboards and the sink cabinet. Talk about contagious.
Since I was already on the job, my mom asked me to take the suitcase from the basement filled with “pasalubongs”. I was supposed to bring it home last November 2007, but unfortunately, my trip was cancelled. Sorry Cat-O, I already ate your Mac and Cheese. Anyway, the bag was filled with chocolates and other stuff. So now, we have like 30 packs of chocolates in the pantry. That would last ‘til next year!
I wasn’t really in a hurry to finish the task and I was so OC a while ago that’s why it took me hours to get it all done.
After all the work, I decided to go online but both the desktop and the laptop were in use. I think that was the longest time that I haven’t been online. But it was okay. So with nothing to do, I went to the kitchen and saw the dishwasher all done and unloaded the plates. Afterwards, even though it was still early for dinner, I decided to prepare the dining table.
It’s not that I don’t do chores here at home. It’s just that I was extra diligent today. I’m so proud of the small accomplishments I made. Nerd much?
